Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
A small occasion in its own right. Two ingredients and a little patience.

Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) strawberries
- 6 oz (170 g) semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
Method
- Wash the strawberries and dry them thoroughly, including around the leaves. Line a tray with parchment paper.
- Place chocolate in a dry microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at half power in 20-second intervals, stirring well each time, until just melted and smooth.
- Hold each berry by its leaves and dip into the chocolate. Let excess drip back into the bowl, then place on the lined tray.
- Chill for about 20–30 minutes, until the chocolate sets. Keep refrigerated until shortly before serving.
