A wrapping basket and twenty quiet minutes beat one heroic Christmas Eve all-nighter.
- Mark gifts as wrapped before putting them away.
- Label identical boxes immediately.
- Keep scissors, tape, tags, and ribbon together.
Know when enough is enough.
Set a stopping rule: planned gifts bought and within your limit? Browsing ends. The kids do not need an equal count of weirdly shaped packages.
- Review the list once before buying extras.
- Keep space for a small change if plans genuinely change.
- Spend the time you just saved on one tradition you love.
Give packages a landing spot.
One shelf or box for deliveries. Open, check, write it down, put it away. An unopened shipping box is not proof the right gift showed up.
- Check the item, size, color, and condition.
- Record where you store it and keep any gift receipt with its details.
- Separate gifts that need posting from the ones staying home.
Plan the handoff too.
A gorgeous present still has to reach its person. Group gifts by where they’re going, not by how cute they look under the tree.
- Use a labeled bag for each household or gathering.
